Jose Plehn-Dujowich leads BrightQuery’s open data initiatives and drives the company’s mission to make the world more factual - one dataset at a time. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the AI Alliance, extending BQ’s commitment to responsible AI ecosystems.
With more than a decade of collaboration across federal statistical agencies, Jose brings unparalleled expertise in transforming regulatory filings into actionable intelligence for capital markets, underwriting, risk, and growth use cases.
Biography Snapshot
Jose was born in New York City, is of Mexican heritage, and grew up in Geneva, Switzerland where his parents worked for the United Nations. Inspired by his father’s diplomatic career advocating for emerging economies, Jose developed a lifelong commitment to strengthening the global economy and protecting the environment through factual data.
He earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago and B.S. degrees in Economics, Mathematics, and Management Science from MIT.
